Video: New 500 kW modular UPS, the KOHLER PW 9500DPA

Designed for mission critical data centre applications, the KOHLER PW 9500DPA has been specifically engineered for high-power, modular and transformerless UPS requirements. The UPS is built using the latest true online double conversion technology and provides amongst the lowest total cost of ownership and highest energy efficiency credentials in its class.

View the new video, which provides an overview of the PW9500DPA’s key features & benefits:

Delivering the optimal balance between energy efficiency, flexibility and performance, the new KOHLER PW 9500DPA can be scaled vertically in 100 kW modular steps to provide up to 500 kW of power in a single frame.Horizontal scalability is also possible, with up to 6 frames in parallel, to increase total power up to 3 MW. This ability to ‘rightsize’ reduces capital expenditure, optimises operating efficiency and helps reduce total cost of ownership. Equally, the two-dimensional scalability means that there is no need to over specify the original configuration as modules and/or frames can be added to optimise the power requirements and increase/decrease power to meet future requirements.

Commenting on the latest launch David Renton, Managing Director for KUP said:

“The arrival of the KOHLER PW 9500DPA represents a significant step forward in the continuing evolution of modular UPS systems and is yet another industry first for KUP. Building on the existing and highly successful KOHLER PW 9000DPA format, the KOHLER PW 9500DPA is designed specifically to address the current and ever increasing challenges faced by data centre builders and operators – maximum flexibility, minimum footprint, class-leading energy efficiency, and best-in-class MTTR.”
