Data Centre World is the world’s largest and most influential gathering of data centre expertise for data centre professionals and the data centre industry.
We will be exhibiting at stand L31. Come and see us for an informal chat and to view our range of standalone & modular UPS products.
Green Data Centre
For the first time ever, Data Centre World will house its very own live, running green data centre. This is the first time any data centre event in the world has showcased products and solutions in such an innovative and interactive surround. What’s more, KUP’s PowerWAVE 9500DPA UPS which provides up to 500kW of power in 100kW modular steps, will be providing the critical power back-up to the data centre.
The Conference
Mike Elms, KUP’s Technical Manager, will be speaking at the conference in the Facilities & Critical Equipment theatre. His presentations will cover the following:
Day 1 (12.45 – 13.15): Modularity in UPS Design – What does it Mean, What are the Pro’s and Con’s?
In the Data Centre world the word “Modular” is often used to describe a proffered UPS system. In this presentation Mike Elms explores the different interpretations that can be associated with this term, some practical examples, and the pro’s and con’s of each.
Day 2 (10.15 – 10.40): UPS Design Case Study – A Supplier’s Perspective
In this presentation Mike Elms gives a supplier’s perspective with a simple hands-on demonstration on how configuring different UPS systems can produce vastly contrasting solutions whilst all outwardly complying with the same specification. Ending with a practical bullet point checklist that will assist potential users in evaluating any proposed UPS solution.
