Free CPD-Certified Webinar with CIBSE: Generator Space Planning

  • This event has passed.
April 26 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Space – The First Frontier
What effects the space required for emergency generators and how to use it effectively

Specifiers, consultants, contractors and facility managers often need to size and select standby generators for power protection. Locating these however consumes valuable space, so needs careful planning. In this CPD-certified webinar, run by Kohler Power Systems EMEA in conjunction with CIBSE Journal, Kohler’s Ian Wilcoxson will discuss how noise abatement can dramatically alter footprint and how this increase can be offset by elevating gensets and carefully planning the size of initial generators in a multi-phase deployment.

With land values at a premium, those planning to specify, install or upgrade standby generators face multiple challenges. Noise abatement, airflow and fuel system resilience can all increase size, whilst choosing the wrong initial building block for a phased roll-out can be a costly mistake. This webinar navigates through these issues and shows how innovations such as racking and belly tanks help make the most of the space and budget available
