Hook, Hampshire, December 14, 2017: This December marks the 20th anniversary of KOHLER Uninterruptible Power Limited (KUP), a KOHLER company – one of the UK’s largest UPS sales and service companies.
Throughout its history, KUP has been at the very forefront of product innovation in power protection technology. Amongst the first to introduce three-phase, modular and transformerless UPS technology to the UK market, KUP has continued to take the lead with products developed to offer the highest levels of efficiency, availability, scalability and flexibility.
KUP has also built an uncompromising reputation for service excellence, providing a wide range of services, delivered 24/7 by a nationwide network of its own factory trained service engineers, to ensure the successful life-long and reliable operation of the products it provides.
Following eight years as an independent business, KUP underwent a management buy out in 2005 and was subsequently acquired in 2008 by KOHLER, a privately-owned, US-based company. Leveraging KOHLER’s global strength and presence, this development was closely followed by the opening of KUP’s first international office in Singapore, followed more recently by the acquisition of Ireland’s Pure Power Systems, in 2017.
KUP Managing Director, David Renton, remarked: “We are delighted to have achieved this milestone – realised through the hard work and dedication of our teams and a culture of customer service excellence that exists throughout the entire organisation. We have dedicated ourselves to delivering product innovation for the past 20 years, providing our customers with some of the most efficient, highest quality UPS products and service available, and that commitment is reflected in our growth and the calibre of our customer base. We now look forward to the next 20 years!”
Based in Hampshire, England, KUP provides its customers with a wide array of power protection services, including full pre-sale, installation and commissioning services, flexible maintenance contracts, remote monitoring, and battery care and replacement.
The full power protection product portfolio includes:
- Uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
- Standby diesel generators
- Battery banks
- Emergency lighting static inverters
- Power conditioning equipment
- Software and ancillaries
KUP’s customer base spans a multitude of sectors including financial services, telecommunications, IT, retail, transport, government, power, oil, gas, water, education, medical, leisure and manufacturing industries.
